John W. Creswell is a globally recognized expert in research methodology, best known for his pioneering work in mixed methods, qualitative research, and quantitative research design. He currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist with the Michigan Mixed Methods Program and is affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Michigan. Previously, he was the Clifton Endowed Professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he contributed significantly to the field of educational research.

Dr. Creswell completed his undergraduate studies in political science and history at Muskingum College and later earned his master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Iowa, specializing in higher education and sociology.
